Sheet-fed offset rotary printing machine of the five-cylinder type, having an impression cylinder (2) taking up from a feeder the sheets (11) to be printed, on this impression cylinder, seen in the direction of transport of the sheets (11), two offset blanket cylinders (7, 9) are set one behind the other and cooperate in each case with a plate cylinder (8, 10), and the impression cylinder (2) has double the circumference with respect to the circumference of the blanket cylinders (7, 9), characterised in that the impression cylinder (2) is equipped with two printing plates (3, 4) which can be inked after the sheet delivery point (12) by an inking and dampening unit (5, 6) and in that during a rotation of the double size impression cylinder (2) in each case only one sheet (11) is conveyed to it, one plate (e.g. 3) being an offset plate inking one of the blanket cylinders (7, 9) for the recto print (first form) and the other (e.g. 4) being a dilitho plate directly applying the verso print (second form).
