[origin: EP0133256A2] In a method for manufacturing a drum face, for example for a cable drum, in which the faces are formed by corrugations of an elongated sheet, a simplification of the method is achieved by using a sheet which is provided from the outset with an edge reinforcement (5), which is preferably produced by bending over one longitudinally extending edge of the sheet. Thereafter, corrugations (3) are created by means of a pressing tool (1, 2) so that the abovementioned reinforcement comprises the outer, circularly extending edge of the drum face. <IMAGE>
