[origin: US4574696A] The machine can print on one of the paper sides an image with juxtaposed colors by means of a typographic plate cylinder inked by a collecting cylinder inked in turn by selective color inking cylinders of which the number corresponds to the number of colors, and on the other side an image with superposed colors and designs by means of offset plate cylinders contacting an offset blanket cylinder and of which the number corresponds to the number of colors and designs of this image. For this purpose the machine comprises another blanket cylinder contacting the typographic plate cylinder and pressed against the offset blanket cylinder, the paper passes between this cylinder and the other blanket cylinder. The multicolor printing on the side receiving the image with juxtaposed colors may be completed by a monochrome wet offset print.

La machine peut imprimer sur l'un des côtés du papier une image à couleurs juxtaposées au moyen d'un cylindre porte-plaque typographique (20) encré par un cylindre collecteur (17) à son tour encré par des cylindres sélecteurs des couleurs (16) dont le nombre correspond au nombre de couleurs, et sur l'autre côté une image à couleurs et dessins superposés au moyen des cylindres porte-plaques offset (8, 11) en contact avec un cylindre porte-blanchets offset (12) et dont le nombre correspond au nombre de couleurs et dessins de cette image. Dans ce but la machine comporte un autre cylindre porte-blanchets (13) en contact avec le cylindre porte-plaque typographique (20) et mis en pression avec le cylindre porte-blanchets offset (12), le papier passe entre celui-ci et l'autre cylindre porte-blanchets (13). L'impression multicolore sur le côté recevant l'image à couleurs juxtaposées peut être complétée par une impression offset humide monochrome.
