Wall comprising rectangular wall panels (1, 2) which are connected hingedly with connecting elements, and which have a core (4) covered with an envelope (3), characterised in that the hinge-action connecting elements (5) are elastomerically extensible, and the wall panels (1, 2) are subdivided into two panel halves (1', 1", 2', 2") at right angles to the hingedly connected sides, and that the joint gap between the panel halves is masked with the envelope (3) at the front or rear side, and the envelope (3) is provided along the joint gap with a folding groove (6).
