Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0133889A2] The wall elements are plastered and are made from solid wood supports. A mitre joint is formed in the bisecting line of the angle of the corner in the edge supports of the wall elements. A tongue-and-groove joint together with additional dowelling elements which are arranged in the groove base at the tongue and/or in the mitre joint, provides a rigid joint, even in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the tongue, since the wall elements are drawn together by means of clamping elements; they are automatically centred dimensionally accurately in the contact area. A rigid corner joint on the building site is produced by injecting curing material which increases in volume and forms a bond via grooves milled into the tongue. The plaster-carrying layer is edge-planed parallel to the mitre joint and separated by an open gap. A compressible, preformed gasket which is flush with the plaster surface seals the plaster edge. The gap is scarcely perceptible visually since it falls into the edge and no longer shows up if it has the same colour as the plaster. This advantage and the saving in expensive reworking at the wall corner means an essential increase in efficiency in building using prefabricated parts. In addition, the invention is a significant advance since a corner connection which results in a rigid, static interaction of the wall boards is provided on site in a simple manner. <IMAGE>
