Abstract (en)
Each crutch (1), defined in modern linguistic use as an underarm walking support or underarm crutch, of the pair of crutches for persons with impaired standing and walking ability is equipped with a seating facility (2, 6, 7) which is preferably of uniform design and in each case forms half of the total seating surface (7). The seating facility (2, 6, 7) does not form an obstacle in the standing and walking position, and it can be moved into the seating position, and from there back into the standing and walking position, by striking it against the thigh or knee, and without either hand having to be moved from the hand-grip of a crutch. The user can sit down wherever and whenever he wishes, immediately and without external help and without using any other equipment, and in doing so, and when standing up, he can support himself on the hand-grips of the crutches. <IMAGE>

Jede Krücke (1) im heutigen Sprachgebrauch als Unterarmgehstütze bzw. Achselkrücke bezeichnet, des Krückenpaares für Geh- und Stehbehinderte ist mit einer vorzugsweise baugleichen Sitzvorrichtung (2, 6, 7) ausgestattet, die jeweils eine Hälfte der Gesamtsitzfläche (7) bereitstellt. Die Sitzvorrichtung (2, 6, 7) behindert in der Steh- und Gehstellung nicht und kann, ohne daß auch nur eine Hand vom Handgriff einer Krücke genommen werden muß, durch Anschlag an Oberschenkel oder Knie in die Sitzstellung und von dort zurück in die Steh- und Gehstellung gebracht werden. Der Benutzer kann sich, wo und wann immer er will, sofort und ohne fremde Hilfe und fremdes Gerät niedersetzen und sich dabei und beim Aufstehen an den Handgriffen der Krücken abstützen.
