Abstract (en)
1. An installation for the drying masses of reeled thread resulting for example from a dyeing operation which are mounted in a stacked state on or in perforated tubes, the lower end of each pile communicating with the interior of a support plate of a hollow base intended to receive the colouring solution which passes centrifugally through the masses, and removable means, such as covers fixed to axial rods which are integral with the plate, being provided to close the upper end of the tubes, characterised in that it comprises in combination : - lifting means (31-33; 44-45-42) to disengage the stacks of bobbins (4) from the support plate after the closing means (6a) of the perforated tubes (6) have themselves been disengaged ; - transporting means (29-30; 46-58) to bring to each individual station a stack of bobbins which is to be dried and which has been disengaged from the support plate by the lifting means ; - a row of centrifuging units (9) each comprising : - an individual centrifugal machine (10-11) adapted to receive a bobbin (4) and comprising a fixed upwardly open tank (10) and a rotary basket (11) in the interior thereof ; - a table (19) situated to one side of the said tank and adapted to receive a stack of bobbins which are to be dried ; - a slide (20) sliding on this table adapted to push away the lower bobbin from the stack above the tank whilst retaining the other bobbins of the stack, and then to return to its starting position to drop the next bobbin of the said stack on to the table ; - means (14, 15) adapted to receive the bobbin thus pushed away by the slide and to cause it to fall into the interior of the basket ; - means to raise the dried bobbin to a level such that it can be pushed away by the following bobbin which has been brought by the slide ; - and means (27, 28) to carry away the dried bobbins which have been thus pushed away by the bobbins which are to be dried.

Le tourniquet (1) porte huit tiges (3) sur lesquelles sont montés des empilages de bobines (4), lesquels sont amenés sur des tiroirs coulissants (20). Ceux-ci reculent à chaque fois pour laisser l'empilage tomber sur la table (19), puis avancent pour repousser la bobine (14) inférieure vers un poste d'essorage ou un vérin (25) descend sur elle et l'applique sur le plateau tournant d'une essoreuse individuelle. Ce plateau s'abaisse à l'intérieur d'une cuve; il tourne pour assurer l'essorage; enfin il remonte et la bobine essorée est repoussée par la suivante sur un couloir (28) qui l'amène à un transporteur d'évacuation (27). Les postes d'essorage peuvent être disposés en cercle et divers moyens sont prévus pour assurer le cheminement des bobines entre le tourniquet (1) ou équivalent et les divers postes.
