In an apparatus for the inspection of the underside of a bridge, with a descent tower supporting a work platform which can be swivelled in and out under the bridge deck and with a cap carriage which can be moved along one side of the bridge and the chassis of which has a traversing mechanism on one side and, on the opposite, supporting side, a running gear which is distributed over a plurality of portals and is formed by carrying and supporting rollers which are arranged on portal supports and roll on the parapet of the bridge or on front faces of that side of the bridge which is to be travelled, provision is made according to the invention for the running gear and the portals to be guided in crossmembers of the chassis and to form, together with a built-in lifting device, a transverse displacement arrangement which displaces the lifted chassis, on the portals, with the crossmembers, together with a swivelling and tilting mechanism accommodating the descent tower with the working platform hinged on the latter, away from the roadway, over the crash barrier and the bridge parapet and holds it right through from swivelling out and erection to tilting and swivelling in of the descent tower with the work platform hinged to the latter. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Brückenuntersichtgerät mit einem eine unter die Brückenplatte ein- und ausschwenkbare Arbeitsbühne tragenden Abstiegsturm und einem längs einer Brückenseite verfahrbaren Kappenwagen, dessen Fahrgestell auf einer Seite ein Fahrwerk und auf der gegenüberliegenden Abstützseite ein auf mehrere Portale aufgeteiltes Laufwerk aufweist, das von Trag- und Stützrollen gebildet wird, die an Portalstützen angeordnet sind und sich auf der Brüstung der Brücke bzw. auf Stirnflächen der abzufahrenden Brückenseite abwälzen, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen daß das Laufwerk und die Portale in Traversen des Fahrgestells geführt und zusammen mit einer eingebauten Hebevorrichtung eine Querverschiebeeinrichtung bilden, die das ausgehobene Fahrgestell zusammen mit einem den Abstiegsturm mit angeklappter Arbeitsbühne aufnehmenden Schwenk-und Kippwerk auf den Portalen mit den Traversen von der Fahrbahn über die Leit- und Pralleinrichtung sowie die Brückenbrüstung verschiebt und vom Ausschwenken und Aufrichten bis zum Abkippen und Einschwenken des Abstiegsturmes mit angeklappter Arbeitsbühne hält.
