The tube (2) can move vertically and includes a coaxial tube (21) which can rise and project sufficiently to enter the mouth (40) of the head (4) to invert and clamp part of the body of the tights. A combination of a 'V' shaped yoke (3) and a sickle-shaped lever (5) on a pivot are used to move the dangling legs of the suspended tights over the mouth of the tube (2) to gather in the dangling legs (36).
