[origin: WO8402871A1] A chipper in particular for the chipping of small-size thinning wood or slender trees. The chipper consists of basic components in themselves known, feed members for the small-size wood to be fed in, of a chipping member supported by the shaft that receives the operating power, as well as of members for the removal of the chips, such as of a system of blower wings supported and rotated by the said shaft as well as of an exhaust tube. In the chipper in accordance with the invention, the chipping member is constructed in an original way so that the good self-feeding quality of the chipping member has been retained, but the chipping member has a robust construction, and it permits feeding of the wood to be chipped from the side of the chipper. The said properties have been obtained so that the chipping blade of the chipping member consists of at least one continuous blade (7) projecting substantially perpendicularly from the plane of the blade disc (6) in the direction of the shaft (2), that the blade approaches the centre of the disc from the circumference of the disc as spiral-shaped in the direction of rotation of the disc, and that the perpendicular distance of the cutting edge (7') of the blade from the plane of the disc increases as screw-shaped as the blade approaches the central area of the disc.

L'ébarbeuse de la présente invention est particulièrement appropriée à l'ébarbage de bois fin de petite taille ou d'arbres minces. L'ébarbeuse consiste en des composants de base connus en soi, des organes d'alimentation pour amener le petit bois à ébarber, un organe d'ébarbage porté par l'arbre qui reçoit la puissance d'entraînement, ainsi que des organes d'enlèvement des copeaux, tels qu'un système d'ailettes de soufflante supportées et mues en rotation par l'arbre en question, ainsi qu'un tube d'échappement. Dans l'ébarbeuse selon l'invention, l'organe d'ébarbage est construit de manière originale de telle sorte que la bonne qualité d'auto-alimentation de l'organe d'ébarbage a été conservée, mais cet organe d'ébarbage présente une construction robuste et permet l'alimentation de bois à ébarber par le côté de l'ébarbeuse. Ces propriétés ont été obtenues de manière que la lame d'ébarbage de l'organe d'ébarbage consiste en au moins une lame continue (7) s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement au plan du disque (6) de la lame dans la direction de l'arbre (2), que la lame approche le centre du disque à partir de la circonférence du disque sous la forme d'une spirale dans le sens de rotation du disque, et que la distance perpendiculaire du bord tranchant (7') de la lame à partir du plan du disque augmente comme pour la forme d'une vis au fur et à mesure que la lame approche la région centrale du disque.
