Guide of the piston of a hand-held air cushion percussion drill, with the piston (1) pneumatically causing reciprocation of an axially freely movable striking member (2) which delivers its energy in the form of axial blows to a tool guided in the percussion drill, and with the piston (1) being made to oscillate by an electric motor via a wobble member comprising a radially extending ram (6) having a spherically rounded head portion (5) mounted in the piston (1) of the air cushion striking mechanism, characterised in that the radially extending ram (6, 13) of the wobble member is guided in a plate (15) which exhibits an aperture (14) of elongate hole configuration and is arranged in a guide extension (3) of the air cushion striking mechanism piston (1).
