[origin: US4563881A] A container has a cooled commodity storage part and a coolant storage part. The container contains at least one heat pipe along one container wall wherein the hot part of the heat pipe extends through the cooled commodity storage part, while the cold part of the heat pipe extends into the coolant storage part. The heat transfer in the cooled commodity part is improved by metal walls, with which the hot part of the heat pipe is in contact, and by ribs in the coolant part. This considerably increases the heat flow compared with known containers, so as to give a more uniform and better temperature distribution in the cooled commodity part and wherein the heat can be removed from points where higher heat losses occur.

Dieser Behälter weist einen Kühlgutteil (1) und einen Kühlmittelteil (3) auf. Im Behälter ist mindestens ein Wärmerohr (7) längs einer Behälterwand angeordnet, von dem der warme Teil sich durch den Kühlgutteil (1) erstreckt, während der kalte Teil des Wärmerohrs (7) sich in den Kühlmittelteil (3) erstreckt. Der Wärmeübergang wird im Kühlgutteil (1) durch Metallwände (12), mit denen der warme Teil des Wärmerohrs (7) in Kontakt steht, und durch Rippen (16) im Kühlmittelteil (3) verbessert. Dadurch wird der Wärmestrom gegenüber bekannten Behältern wesentlich erhöht, so dass dadurch eine gleichmässigere und bessere Temperaturverteilung im Kühlgutteil (1) erreicht wird und die Wärme auch von dort abgeführt werden kann, wo grössere Wärmeverluste vorliegen.
