1. Splash guard for an electrophotographic copier with a developing station for the liquid development, which is arranged at a distance from a photoconductive recording material (3) and comprises a developing electrode (5) and a tank (4) containing a liquid developer, wherein a limiting element (17; 21; 26) is provided at a distance from at least one edge of the developing electrode (5) and perpendicularly with respect to the developing electrode (5) and is in elastic and liquid-tight contact with an external zone (11; 11') of a drum (1) carrying the recording material (3).

Die Spritzschutzvorrichtung der Entwicklungseinrichtung eines Kopiergeräts besteht aus einem oder zwei Begrenzungselementen, die elastisch und flüssigkeitsdicht an Randzonen einer Fotoleiter-Trommel anlegen. Die Begrenzungselemente sind im Abstand und senkrecht zu den Rändern einer Entwickelelektrode angeordnet und erstrecken sich zumindest über die gesamte Breite der Entwickelelektrode. Die Höhe der Begrenzungselemente ist gleich oder bevorzugt größer als der Spalt zwischen Entwickelelektrode und Fotoleiter, so daß sich die Begrenzungselemente in das Innere und unterhalb des oberen Randes eines Behälters für den Flüssigentwickler erstrecken, der unterhalb der Entwickelelektrode angeordnet ist. Dadurch ist sichergestellt, daß ein seitlich aus dem Spalt austretender Strahl des Flüssigentwicklers nach unten in den Behälter umgelenkt wird und eine Verschmutzung des Inneres des Kopiergeräts verhindert wird.
