Abstract (en)
An automatic money handling machine having a housing containing a coin receiver, a coin ramp leading to a coin sorter, a coin storage device for storing coins by denomination, a coin storage device for storing coins without regard to denomination, a coin dispenser able to dispense more than one coin at a time, a coin elevator for returning coins to a different level from that at which the coins are dispensed and computing devices adapted to count coins received and coins dispensed, the device also has a coin detector for identifying coins by denomination and for detecting coins which are not proper and a coin diverter for directing improper coins to the coin storage without regard to denomination, the computing device providing the logic control for all electromechanical functions.
