1. A screw press comprising a fly wheel (7) continuously rotating in the same direction of rotation and a clutch actuated by pressurized air, said clutch being located between said fly wheel and the screw and having a pressure chamber (10) which is supplied by means of an air introduction means for the actuation of a pressure piston (9) for a clutch disc (8), an inert mass (19) reacting on delays of the rotation of said screw, the movement of said mass actuating a pre-control valve (15) located in the supply means of the pressurized air to the pressure chamber in such a manner that the pressure supply line is connected with the atmosphere whereby a rapid ventilation valve for the abrupt release of said pressure chamber of said clutch is controlled, characterized in that said inert mass (19) is directly located at the upper die (3) of said press, that the pressure chamber (10) is centrally provided above the upper face end of said screw (4), and in that a plurality of rapid ventilation valves (13) is located in a star-like manner around a stationary central air introduction connecting piece (12) for said pressure chamber (10), the supply with pressurized air of said rapid ventilation valves (13) resulting from said central air introduction connecting piece by means of a housing (22) rotating on said connecting piece and provided with connections for said rapid ventilation valves.

Es wird eine neuartig ausgebildete Spindelpresse beschrieben. Die Spindelpresse weist einen Massenschalter auf, der unmittelbar am Stößel der Presse angeordnet ist und über den ein in der Druckluftzuführleitung zum Druckraum der Kupplung angeordnetes Vorsteuerventil betätigt wird. Durch Betätigung des Vorsteuerventiles wird eine Reihe von sternförmig auf der Oberseite des Kupplungsgehäuses angeordneten Schnellüftventilen angesteuert, wobei diese den Druckraum der Kupplung über eine Reihe von Luftauslässen sehr rasch zur Atmosphäre hin entlüften. Hierdurch läßt sich ein sehr rasches Ausrücken der Kupplung erzielen.
