In a heat accumulator (10), the discharge is regulated by changing the speed of a fan (20) driven by an electric motor (21), which fan blows air through the accumulator core (12) and for example through a heat exchanger (22). The speed change is carried out by connecting and disconnecting series resistors in the circuit of the electric motor. The series resistors are designed as heating rods (40, 41) which are arranged in the accumulator core (12) so that the dissipated energy arising in the connected series resistors is utilised as additional heating capacity. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Wärmespeicher (10) wird die Entladung durch Änderung der Drehzahl eines von einem Elektromotor (21) angetriebenen Ventilators (20) geregelt, der Luft durch den Speicherkern (12) und beispielsweise durch einen Wärmetauscher (22) bläst. Die Drehzahländerung erfolgt durch Zu- und Wegschalten von Vorwiderständen im Stromkreis des Elektromotors. Die Vorwiderstände sind als Heizstäbe (40, 41) ausgebildet, die im Speicherkern (12) angeordnet sind, so daß die in den zugeschalteten Vorwiderständen anfallende Verlustleistung als zusätzliche Heizleistung ausgenutzt wird.
