Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0138771A2] 1. Sealing arrangement for a door not provided with a sill, which arrangement comprises a guide rail (1) adapted to be inserted into a longitudinal slot in the bottom edge of the door leaf and also an elongate sealing body (3) which is slidable in the guide rail (1) at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the latter and is provided with an elastic sealing strip (6) adapted to be pressed against the floor, the sealing body (3) being adapted to be moved by means of an operating device which is disposed in a cavity (5) formed between the guide rail (1) and the sealing body (3) and which comes into action on the closing of the door, and flexible bands (10) extending in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail (1) and of the sealing body (3) being disposed one on each side of the sealing body (3) and being fastened on the opposite sides of the guide rail (1) and sealing body (3) and sealing the air gaps (9) existing on the opposite sides, characterized in that the flexible band (10) has a U-shaped cross-section in the installed condition, in any position of the sealing body (3), and lies with each of its legs against a side wall of the guide rail (1) and against an outside face of the top part (4) of the sealing body (3), in such a manner that on the displacement of the sealing body (3) the band 10 performs an unrolling movement in the gap between the guide rail (1) and the sealing body (3).
