In accordance with the invention, the glass is a sodium borosilicate glass containing refractive index-raising oxides, while the plastics is an optically low-attenuation plastics with a low refrective index, whereby a high numerical aperture is obtained in the optical fibre.

Conformément à la présente invention, le verre est un verre de borosilicate de sodium contenant des oxydes augmentant l'indice de réfraction, alors que le plastique est un plastique à faible atténuation optique avec un indice de réfraction bas, ce qui permet d'obtenir une fibre optique à ouverture numérique élevée.
