1. A protective switch (1) with a Mechanical Switching mechanism (2) that can be manually switched on and off and switched off electromagnetically and/or electrothermally, where provision is made for a manually operable toggle (3) for arbitrary switching on or off and, in essence, for a magnetic trip (4) containing a striker armature (6) and a bimetallic trip (5) for automatic switching off in the event of a malfunction and where at least one electro-optical display device with a light source (glow-lamp 11) cooperates with the switching mechanism (2) for indicating the malfunction characterised in that the electro-optical display device is switched on or made visible for a selective indication of the malfunction causing the tripping, by being connected either only to the striker armature (6) of the magnetic trip, or only to the bimetallic strip (7) of the bimetallic trip (5).
Abstract (de)
Ein Schutzschalter mit einer von Hand ein- und ausschaltbaren und elektromagnetisch und/oder elektrothermisch abschaltbaren mechanischen Schaltvorrichtung (2) soll insofern verbessert werden, daß der Benutzer auf einfache Weise und unverwechselbar sowohl den Störfall als auch dessen Ursache - Kurzschluß oder Überstromfall - erkennen kann. Dazu ist mit der Schaltvorrichtung (2) mindestens eine elektro-optische Anzeigevorrichtung mit einer Glimmlampe (11) zur selektiven Anzeige des die Auslösung verursachenden Störfalles vorgesehen, die durch Kopplung an den Schlaganker des Magnetauslösers (4) oder (alternativ!) an den Bimetallstreifen (7) des Bimetallauslösers (5) entweder eingeschaltet oder sichtbar gemacht wird.
