Carrier rail arrangement for suspended railways, cranes or the like, having a self-supporting carrier rail (3) which may be assembled from several rail pieces, and connection, suspension and/or securing elements allocated to this rail, where the carrier rail (3) possesses a substantially I-shaped cross-sectional configuration with a hollow upper and hollow lower chord (7, 8) which are formed each as a tubular hollow body and carry the track surfaces for wheels of the suspended railway or crane vehicles and are connected with one another by a flat web (10) extending in the central plane (9) of the chords (7, 8), which web is provided with at least one row of holes extending in the longitudinal direction, to which retaining elements for current collectors, destination control elements or the like are anchored, characterised in that the retaining elements are pre-stressed spring straps (70, 80) which are hooked into corresponding holes (18) of the row of holes and supported against the web (10) and/or a chord (7, 8) and in that each spring strap (70, 80) comprises a widened back part (87) on which there is secured at least one retaining clip (68, 89) of substantially U-shaped cross-section for a live rail (32) or the like.
