[origin: ES281530U] The spring core for a mattress consists of several, identically formed spring coils arranged in side by side rows with each row forming a wire piece having an upper and a lower mutually aligned end spiral in a U-shape, and having opposite legs joined together by a base webb. Adjacent coil springs are joined together at their end spirals along abutting legs by helical connecting springs. To arrange the springs at tight angles in rows and columns, a length of one leg is greater than the length of another leg and all the coil springs are oriented in the same direction, except along a edge region of the spring core.

Der Federkern für eine Matratze besteht aus mehreren, gleichgeformten in Reihen nebeneinander angeordneten Schraubenfedern 10, von denen jede aus einem Drahtstück geformt ist und jeweils eine obere und untere, zueinander fluchtende, Endwindung 11, 31 aufweist, die jeweils annähernd U-förmig gebogen ist und deren einander gegenüberliegende Schenkel 12, 13 durch einen Basissteg 18 miteinander verbunden sind, wobei benachbarte Schraubenfedern 10 an ihren Endwindungen 11 entlang der jeweils aneinander anliegenden Schenkel 12, 13 durch schraubenförmige Verbindungsfedern 30 miteinander verbunden sind. Um eine reihen- und spaltenförmige Anordnung aller Federn im rechten Winkel zu erreichen, ist die Länge 25 des einen Schenkels 12 größer als die Länge 26 des anderen Schenkels 13, wobei mit Ausnahme eines Randbereichs 27 des Federkerns alle Schraubenfedern 10 gleich ausgerichtet sind.
