[origin: US4557195A] A pad-type printing machine with a mount for a cliché, with an ink supply device exhibiting a hollow body, whereby during the operation of the machine the end face of the hollow body rests at least occasionally on the cliché, with a device for pressing the end face of the hollow body against the cliché, with a device for producing a relative motion between the cliché and the hollow body, whereby the hollow body is guided such that it can swivel about an axis extending basically parallel to the relative motion, and with a pad which can be pressed onto the inked cliché and which accepts the ink from the recesses in the cliché and transfers it onto an object to be printed is characterized by the fact that at least on some of the circumference of its end face the hollow body comprises hard material and is microfinished with a peak-to-valley height of at most 2 mu m whereby the device for pressing the hollow body against the cliché is designed such that the contact force acts in the immediate vicinity of the contact surface between the cliché and the hollow body and is at least approximately uniformly distributed over the circumference of the end face, whereby the hollow body is guided such that it can additionally swivel about an axis extending transversely to the relative motion between the cliché and the hollow body. Eine Tampondruckmaschine mit einer Halterung für ein Klischee, mit einer einen Hohlkörper aufweisenden Farbzuführvorrichtung, wobei der Hohlkörper bei der Arbeit der Maschine mit seiner Stirnfläche zumindest zeitweise auf dem Klischee aufliegt, mit einer Vorrichtung zum Anpressen der Stirnfläche des Hohlkörpers gegen das Klischee, mit einer Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen einer Relativbewegung zwischen dem Klischee und dem Hohlkörper, wobei der Hohlkörper um eine im wesentlichen parallel zur Relativbewegung verlaufende Achse schwenkbar geführt ist, und mit einem Tampon, der auf das eingefärbte Klischee preßbar ist und die Farbe aus den Vertiefungen des Klischees aufnimmt und auf einen zu bedrukkenden Gegenstand überträgt, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Hohlkörper mindestens auf einem des Umfangs seiner Stirnfläche aus Hartmaterial mit einer Härte von mindestens 1000 HRC (Rockwell C) besteht und feinstbearbeitet mit einer Rauhtiefe von höchstens 2µm, ist daß Vorrichtung zum Anpressen des Hohlkörpers an das Klischee derart ausgebildet ist, daß die Anpreßkraft in nächster Nähe der Berührungsfläche zwischen dem Klischee und dem Hohlkörper angreift und am Umfang der Stirnfläche mindesten annähernd gleichmäßig verteilt ist, und daß der Hohlkörper zusätzlich um eine quer zur Relativbewegung zwischen dem Klischee und dem Hohlkörper verlaufende Achse schwenkbar geführt ist. Dadurch ist eine hohe Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit mit nur geringem wartungsaufwand möglich.
