[origin: US4637659A] A toothed tool body for a rotary drilling tool suitable not only for work normally performed with toothed roller bits or the like, but also advantageous in loamy or similar formations, has ribs extending peripherally between the teeth up to the tooth flanks and having a cross-section falling on both sides from a peak region, more particularly a roof-like cross-section. The peak region of the ribs is lower than the tips or edges of the teeth in the radial direction of the tool body.

Ein verzahnter Werkzeugkörper für ein drehbares Bohrwerkzeug, der nicht nur für normalerweise mit Zahnrollenmeißeln od.dgl. auszuführende Arbeiten geeignet ist, sondern darüber hinaus auch in lehmigen oder ähnlich beschaffenen Formationen mit Vorteil verwendbar ist, weist zwischen den Zähnen (10) in Umfangsrichtung verlaufende, sich jeweils bis zu den Flanken (10a) der Zähne (10) erstreckende Rippen (12) auf, die im Querschnitt ein von einem Scheitelbereich (12a) nach beiden Seiten hin abfallendes Profil aufweist, insbesondere ein dachförmiges Profil. Der Scheitelbereich der Rippen (12) liegt dabei in radialer Richtung des Werkzeugkörpers (6) tiefer als die Köpfe bzw. Schneiden (11) der Zähne (10).
