A machine for the automatic manufacture of double sacks, each sack comprising an outer sack made of a fabric, in particular a tubular fabric, and an inner sack made of a polyolefine film, in particular polyethylene film, essentially comprising at least one device (1) for the timed length-cutting and further transportation of a tubular, endless web of fabric for the formation of the outer sack (11) ; a device (2) for the timed lengthcutting and transportation and, if required, fusing of a bottom seam of a tubular run of film for the formation of the inner sack (22) ; and a device (3) for the automatic insertion of an inner sack (22) into an outer sack (11) for the formation of a double sack (33) and for the further transportation thereof, characterized in that the device (3) for the automatic insertion of an inner sack (22) into an outer sack (11) comprises a support (5) with free arms for taking up an inner sack (22) ; a reciprocating carriage (4) having a device for taking up and for spreading and slipping an outer sack (11) over the support (5), as well as a depositing table (7) for the double sack, disposed below the plane of motion of the sliding carriage (4).
