[origin: WO8404425A1] The photovoltaic cell is comprised of an assembly of elementary cells (11) comprising each a central lead or electrode (12) surrounded by two concentric layers of semiconductor material (13 and 14) forming a photoactive diode, and by a counter electrode (15) substantially covering the whole surface of the semiconductor layer (14) which is unexposed to the light. These elementary cells are encapsulated in a base plate (16) and a cover plate (17) preferably consisting of thermoformable substances.

Cette cellule photovoltaique se compose d'un ensemble de cellules élémentaires (11), comportant chacune un conducteur central ou électrode (12) entourée de deux couches concentriques de matériau semi-conducteur (13) et (14) formant une diode photo-active, et d'une contre-électrode (15) recouvrant sensiblement la totalité de la surface non exposée à la lumière de la couche semi-conductrice (14). Ces cellules élémentaires sont encapsulées dans une plaque de base (16) et une plaque de recouvrement (17), constituées de préférence par des substances thermoformables.
