Support for a bed slat on a longitudinal bed side rail, wherein the slat (1) is mounted displacably longitudinally along the rail (9), and a locking member is provided in order to arrest the slat with respect to its displacability along the rail, characterised in that the locking member is a spring element (21, 37) connected to the slat and biasing the slat to the rail (9).
