A removable bottom of a lighter, in particular of a gas lighter, comprising an actuable locking device, for protecting and for covering the lighter refiller cap, an intermediate bottom (1) to be connected to the lighter sleeve and a spring system (2, 3), characterized by that in the intermediate bottom (1), two spring systems (2, 3) acting against each other and being arranged adjacent to each other are arranged eccentrically to the centre of the intermediate bottom, one spring system (2) exhibiting a torsion spring (6) guided by an axis (7) of a swiveling rocker arm (5), and that the torsion spring (6) holds the rocker arm (5) in locked position with the bottom (27), whereas the second spring system (3) is provided with a spiral spring (9) acting on a pin (8), and that the spiral spring (9) exerts a force over the pin (8) on the locked bottom (27), said force being absorbed by the rocker arm, and that the bottom (27) exhibits a borehole (4), one side of which being provided with an oblique surface (31) corresponding to the swivel radius of the rocker arm (5), whereas the other side exhibits a step (32) against the outer side of which the inner face of a projection (16) of the rocker arm (5) coming to rest in the locked state of the rocker arm (5).
