[origin: EP0141286A2] The switch, which is provided for an electrical load, has a housing with a switching contact. A disc-shaped bimetallic device is supported in a switching chamber in the housing on a fitting which is axially movable for the contact switching. An electrically operable temperature-change part is moreover provided for the bimetallic device, the connecting parts of the temperature changing part being fed out of the housing. The axially movable fitting has three star-shaped radial webs projecting transversely to each of which two switching contacts are allocated together with a contact link in the baseplate of the housing associated therewith. The electrically operable temperature change part is arranged in the switching chamber on a side of the bimetallic device opposite the radial webs of the fitting. <IMAGE>
