[origin: WO8404485A1] The plant for bark-peeling tree-trunks or the like comprises a rotary bark-peeling tool (1) having a cylinder (10) carrying skinning knives (31). Said cylinder (10) may be displaced or hinged to an oscillating arm (13) against the tree-trunk (5). The tree-trunk (5) to be bark-peeled is displaced with respect to the bark-peeling tool (1) in the longitudinal direction by means of wheels (16, 27, 29) guided by rails (2, 6) and rotates about its axis by means of a driving device (18). For simplifying known bark-peeling machines and enabling the processing of known circular and curved tree-trunks, the plant is provided with a holding device (19) at one end of the tree-trunk (5), which holding device is combined with the driving device (18) which rotates the trunk, and is also provided with a support device (28) located in the region of the bark-peeling cylinder (10) for insuring a loose support of the tree-trunk (5); the skinning knives (31) carried by the cylinder (10) form an acute angle with respect to the tree-trunk axis.

L'installation pour l'écorçage des troncs d'arbres ou analogues comprend un outil rotatif d'écorçage (1) constitué d'un cylindre (10) portant des couteaux (31). Ce cylindre (10) peut être déplacé ou articulé sur un bras oscillant (13) contre le tronc de l'arbre (5). Le tronc (5) à écorcer est déplacé par rapport à l'outil d'écorçage en direction de son axe longitudinal grâce à des roues (16, 27, 29) conduites par des rails (2, 6) et tourne autour de son axe au moyen d'un dispositif d'entraînement (18). Par simplification des machines à écorcer connues jusqu'ici et pour permettre le traitement de troncs non circulaires et incurvés, l'installation présente un dispositif de maintien (19) à une extrémité du tronc (5) combiné avec le dispositif d'entraînement (18) pour faire tourner le tronc, et un dispositif d'appui (28) placé dans la région du cylindre d'écorçage (10) pour un appui lâche du tronc (5); les couteaux (31) portés par le cylindre (10) forment un angle aigu par rapport à l'axe du tronc d'arbre.
