Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0141970A1] 1. A supporting arrangement for horizontally disposed cylindrical pressure vessels (1), particularly but not exclusively, for corresponding pressure vessels in steam power installations, said arrangement consisting of a boiler support disposed between the vessel and the base plate with a boiler supporting shell (6) acting as a shell-like supporting surface with side edges (8) running at right angles to the longitudinal extension of the vessel, wherein for axial fixing the vessel is connected to the boiler support at a plurality of locations with the help of retaining elements which are welded to the vessel and act on the side edges of the boiler supporting shell, characterised in that the retaining elements are in the form of multi-layer built-up welds (9) with a contact face running parallel to the side edges (8) of the boiler supporting shell (6), a shim (10) being inserted between each built-up weld (9) and the associated side edge (8) of the boiler supporting shell and being secured by means of a holder (11) fastened to the boiler support ; and in that in order to secure the vessel (1) against rotation, eyes (12, 13) are welded coaxially on the wall of the vessel and the boiler supporting shell through which eyes a shaft (14) is inserted which cannot be rotated.
