[origin: US4650190A] A flipper game having a plane-sloped playing plate arranged in a housing on which obstacles for the run of the ball are arranged. The ball enters at the head end of the playing plate and runs in the direction of the slope down to a target opening arranged at the foot end of the playing plate. The slope of the playing plate can be regulated thereby altering the running velocity of the ball for production of varying degrees of difficulty. The slope of the playing plate can be manually set or incremented automatically depending on the score.

Das Flipperspiei besteht aus einer in einem Gehäuse angeordneten, in einer Ebene geneigten Spielplatte, auf der Hindernisse für den Lauf einer Kugel angeordnet sind, welche am Kopfende der Spielplatte einläuft und in Richtung der Neigung zu einer am Fußende der Spielplatte angeordneten Zielöffnung abrollt. Zur Herstellung unterschiedlicher Schwierigkeitsgrade wird die Ablaufgeschwindigkeit der Kugel dadurch verändert, daß die Neigung der Spielplatte einstellbar ist. Die Neigung der Spielplatte kann entweder in Abhängigkeit von einer Eingabe oder in Abhängigkeit von dem Zählerstand der Zählwerke einstellbar gestaltet werden.
