Drain for the removal of ground water, consisting of a discharge pot (1) with an inflow opening (3) at the side and a discharge pipe (4) as well as a removable inflow funnel (7) with a top inflow opening (2) for the ground water and a grating (19) placed on the opening (2), characterized in that the inflow funnel (7) and the discharge pot (1) conically taper downwards and the inflow funnet (7) extends into the lower region of the discharge pot (1), and in that the inflow funnel (7) projects beyond the discharge pot (1) at the top and, in the projecting region, is surrounded by a pipe (16) mounted on the discharge pot (1), it being possible for the pipe (16) and the inflow funnel (7) to be cut to length.
