Excavating machine having a bucket scoop (5) attachable to a boom (1), an attachment device (6) with a hollow body (20), a trap device (7) for receiving the attachment device (6) where by one of these devices (6, 7 resp.) is connected with the boom (1), bucket scoop (5) respectively, a fixed jaw (15, 16 resp.) belonging to the trap device (7) and passing through an opening (25, 26 resp.) into the hollow body (20), a locking mechanismus (30 ; 40 resp.) placed in the hollow body (20) and provided with a wedge (31 ; 41 resp.) movable by means of a control mechanismus (32 ; 42 resp.) into a space between the fixed jaw (15, 16 resp.) and the base plate (21) of the hollow body, whereby the trap device (7) is provided with a projecting part (12) which is placed in the front region of the trap device (7) and which can be thrown into engagement with the front wall (23) of the hollow body (20), wherein the rear wall (22) of the hollow body (20) is inclined with respect to the base plate (21) of the holls body (20), the trap device is provided with a wall (13) which is arranged practically in parallel to the rear wall (22) of the hollow body (20) and wherein the fixed jaw (15, 16 resp.) is placed on the interior side of the inclined wall (13) belonging to the trap device (7).
