[origin: US4672213A] Container, especially for radioactive substances such as radioactive liquids, with an inner container for receiving these substances and an outer container, in which the inner container and thermal insulation between the inner and outer container are located. The inner container is associated with a cooling tube within the outer container which tube contains a coolant that can be circulated. A heat discharge tube likewise containing the coolant that can be circulated is arranged at the outer container. The cooling tube and the heat discharge tube are in communication with each other via connecting lines at both tube ends.

Bei einem Behälter mit einem Außenbehälter (6), in dem sich ein Innenbehälter (2) insbesondere für radioaktive Substanzen und Wärmeisolierstoff (9) zum Schutz gegen äußere Brandhitze zwischen Innen- und Außenbehälter befinden, ist zur Abfuhr von Zerfallswärme und zum Erzielen eines nicht oder nur weniger begrenzten Fassungsvermögens des Innenbehalters (2) innerhalb des Außenbehälters (6) dem Innenbehälter (2) ein ein zirkulierfähiges Kühlmittel enthalfendes Kühlrohr (10) zugeordnet, während am Außenbehälter (6) ein das zirkulierfähige Kühlmittel ebenfalls enthaltendes Wärmeabfuhrrohr (11) angeordnet ist, das mit dem Kühlrohr (11) an beiden Rohrenden über Verbindungsleitungen (12, 13) kommuniziert.
