1. A suspendable shaped running rail for a suspension railway, more particularly a suspended monorail system, having external running surfaces (12) for trolleys or the like (15), the rail being in the form of an elongate hollow member (6) formed with a continuous top slot (8) adapted to receive securing hangers or the like (3), characterized in that the hollow member (6) is T-shaped and comprises a stem or tail part (10) and a flange part (11) forming the running surfaces, the tail part (10) being divided at its end (9) remote from the flange part (11) to bound the slot (8), and the same is flanked by webs (7) which are formed on the rail and which extend into the hollow member (6).

Bei einer Schienenhängebahn, bestehend aus einer aufhängbaren Profillaufschiene (6), mit Hängebefestigungsmitteln (3) und Laufwagen (15), bei der die Profillaufschiene (6) aus einem länglichen Hohlkörper und einem durchgehenden Längsschlitz zum Aufnehmen der Hängebefestigungsmittel besteht, wird trotz geringen Gewichtes eine hohe Tragfähigkeit und gleichzeitig eine einfache Montierbarkeit der Profillaufschiene dadurch erreicht, dass die Profillaufschiene einen T-förmigen längsgeschlitzten Hohlkörper bildet, bei dem der T-Schaft (10) an seiner Abschlusseite (9) unter Ausbildung eines Längsschlitzes (8) gespalten ist und der Längsschlitz (8) von in den Hohlkörper hineinragenden Stegen (7) gebildet ist.
