A hinge-plate support for door hinges, with a hinge-plate holding part (1) to be secured to the door case or to its lining, and a frame strip part (2), which hinge-plate holding part (1) bears at least one plug-in socket (6), each for a plug-in peg (7), which plug-in peg or pegs (7) is or are crosswise to the axis (8) of the basic body (9) of the frame strip part (2) and at a distance from it, each plug-in sleeve (6) having at least one cut out (11) into which two small clamping plates (12, 13) can be inserted, each of which rests against the shell of the plug-in peg (7), and the two clamping plates (12, 13) being pressed against each other and against the plug-in peg (7) by at least one clamping screw (19), characterized in that each of the two clamping plates (12, 13) is provided with a borehole (17) which for the one clamping plate is penetrated by the clamping screw (19), but in the case of the other clamping plate is constructed with an inner thread (18) into which the clamping screw (19) can be screwed ; in that at least one of the plug-in pegs (7), at least in its surface area which in the installed state rests against the clamping plates (12, 13), is provided with ribs (23) running crosswise to the longitudinal axis (21) of the plug-in peg (7) ; in that at least one of the clamping plates (12, 13), on its surface (14) which works together with the ribs (23), consists of deformable material or is provided with projections which engage between the ribs (23), and in that the clamping plates on their side surfaces (26) are supported against twisting.
