[origin: ES8603664A1] The method of compressing and welding a bundle (22) of stranded conductors, uses a sonotrode (10) and a projecting part (20) of an anvil, the conductors being compressed betweem them. The compression space (24) is completed by a pressure block (26, 28) moved inwards at right angles to the direction of pressure of the other elements (10,20). The sonotrode rotates about a horizontal axis (14). - The sonotrode is circular with a set of radial arms (16) each shaped at the end to match the shape of the conductors. In another design, the sonotrode has arms shaped to enclose more of the conductors, so that side pressure blocks are not required.

Um elektrische Leiter (22) wie Litzen mittels Ultraschall zu verdichten und/oder zu einem Knotenpunkt zu verschweißen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Sonotrode (10) einer Ultraschallschweißvorrichtung vorzugsweise zentral ober- oder unterhalb der Sonotrodenlängsachse (14) eine Fläche (18) aufweist, der eine Fläche (20) eines Ambosses (12) zur oberen und unteren Begrenzung eines für die Leiter (22) bestimmten Verdichtungsraums (24) zugeordnet ist. Der Verdichtungsraum (24) wird seitlich durch Backen begrenzt, von denen eine zumindest verschiebbar ausgebildet ist.
