Sheeting means for shoring a wall of an excavation or trench comprising verticle shores (2) insertable in spaced manner in the ground and sheeting boards (4, 4') slidable between the shores (2) and forming a sheeting wall with the latter, the sheeting boards being shorable on their parallel lateral edges by guide means (5, 5', 6, 6') located on both side walls of the shores (2) and engaging on the back of sheeting boards (4, 4'), characterized in that in the plane of the sheeting wall the guide means (5, 5', 6, 6') are adjustably fixed by means of control drives (15) to shore (2).
