1. Appliance for stuffing cigarette tobacco into premanufactured cigarette paper casings, preferably filter cigarette casings, this appliance operating automatically, being designed to produce a number of firmly filled cigarettes that are ready to be smoked, comprising a funnel-shaped receptacle (10) into which the tobacco is charged and below which a tobacco supply chamber (25) is provided, comprising a pressing beam (28) which is installed at the bottom of the tobacco supply chamber, which is provided with a concave-radiused face (35), and which is transversely movable towards a shaped piece (37) that is likewise provided with a concave, channel-like recess (38), the transverse movement of this pressing beam (28) being accompanied by the forming of the tobacco into a rod, further comprising an ejecting element which is installed in a manner such that it is longitudinally slidable within the concave, channel-like recess in the shaped piece, and further comprising a tubular nozzle (58) for receiving a cigarette casing, this tubular receiving nozzle being designed in a manner such that it forms an extension of the channel-like recess, which is termed a pressing chamber (47), and such that the cigarette casing (66) to be filled can be slipped onto it, the ejecting element serving as the means of pushing the rod of tobacco, thus formed, into the cigarette casing (66), characterized in that a sliding carriage (64, 71) is provided, which is axially slidable between a position near the tubular receiving nozzle (58) and a position remote therefromn this carriage (64, 71) serving as a means whereby a cigarette casing which is to be filled, and which is termed an empty casing (66), can be fed to the receiving nozzle (58), and a filled cigarette casing, which is termed a cigarette (76), can be removed from the said nozzle, and in that a pick-off device (67) is provided in the position which the sliding carriage (64, 71) occupies when it is remote from the receiving nozzle (58), this pick-off device (67) serving as a means whereby the filled cigarette casing (76) can be lifted from the carriage (64, 71) and transferred into a collecting container (77), and whereby a cigarette casing (66) which is to be filled can be conveyed from a magazine (11) and transferred onto the carriage.

Für ein Gerät zum automatischen Stopfen von Zigarettentabak in vorgefertigte Zigarettenhülsen, insbesondere Filter-Zigarettenhülsen, und kontinuierlichem Erstellen einer größeren Anzahl von rauchfertig gestopften Zigaretten ist ein Tabakvorratsbehälter vorgesehen, aus dem der Tabak zu einer Tabakstrang-Formstation gefördert wird, Hier wird mittels eines Preßbalkens und eines entsprechenden Gegenstückes ein runder Tabakstrang geformt, der anschließend durch einen Ausstoßlöffel aus der Formstation herausgeschoben wird. Vor der Ausstoßöffnung ist ein Aufnahmestutzen angeordnet, auf den zuvor eine Zigaretten-Leerhülse aufgeschoben wurde. Es ist ein Leerhülsen-Vorratsbehälter vorgesehen, aus dem die Leerhülsen mittels einer Greifeinrichtung entnommen und einem Transportschlitten zugeführt werden, der die Leerhülsen zum Aufnahmestutzen transportiert und auf den Stutzen aufschiebt. Am Aufnahmestutzen ist eine Hülsen-Form- und -Zentriereinrichtung vorgesehen. Nach dem Einschieben des Tabaks in die Leerhülse wird diese mit dem Transportschlitten in eine Entnahmeposition verschoben und bei Verschwenkung der Greifeinrichtung, um eine neue Leerhülse zu erfassen, durch an dieser angeordnete Abstreiffinger in einen Auffangbehälter gerollt.
