The apparatus comprises a working platform which is articulated via a turntable on a descent tower, and a frame which is supported on the bridge and carries away the forces of the working platform and the descent tower on the bridge. The invention provides that the frame carry clamps at each of its two ends which serve to support it on the bridge and that the clamps engage around the bridge edge, the frame possessing guide rails which are oriented parallel to the bridge edge when the clamps are tensioned and run approximately horizontally, and that the descent tower, together with the working platform, be mounted on a running gear suspended on the frame rails when the frame clamps are tensioned, this running gear having a clamp which can be secured to the upper and lower side of the bridge and which braces the running gear with the bridge at the end of the rail path in such a way that, with the frame clamps released, the wheels or rollers of the running gear, together with the frame rails, form a guide for displacing the frame along the bridge edge. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Brückenuntersichtgerät mit einer an einem Abstiegsturm über einen Drehkranz angelenkten Arbeitsbühne und mit einem an der Brücke abgestützten Gestell, welches die Kräfte der Arbeitsbühne und des Abstiegsturmes auf der Brücke abträgt, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß das Gestell an beiden Enden je eine zu seiner Abstützung an der Brücke dienende Zwinge trägt und die Zwingen die Brückenkante umschließen, wobei das Gestell Führungsschienen aufweist, die bei verspannten Zwingen parallel zur Brückenkante orientiert sind und annähernd horizontal verlaufen, und daß der Abstiegsturm mit der Arbeitsbühne an einem bei verspannten Gestellzwingen an den Gestellschienen aufgehängten Fahrwerk angebracht ist, welches eine an der Brückenober- und -unterseite festlegbare Klemme aufweist, die das Fahrwerk am Ende des Schienenweges derart mit der Brücke verspannt, daß bei gelösten Gestellzwingen die Räder bzw. Rollen des Fahrwerkes mit den Gestellschienen eine Führung für die Verlegung des Gestells längs der Brückenkante bilden.
