Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0144481A1] 1. Method of making safety keys (10) with locking possibilities differing from each other, wherein spring-loaded pin tumblers are mounted in the locks in bores which run radially, which tumblers can be set by a safety key (10) to release for rotation the cylindrical-shaped core, which key is introduced into the key channel of the cylindrical-shaped core and which by means of bores (11) sets the correct displacement position of the rows of pin tumblers, wherein bore patterns are provided with conventional bore depressions (9) and also with bores (a-k) which differ as regards the number and/or form of the control surfaces, characterized in that in the following sequence a) bore patterns (A-E) are produced, which differ from each other, with each bore pattern (A-E) having the same number of bore sites (5) and with the position of the bore sites (5) being different in each bore pattern (A-E), b) in each bore pattern a given number of distinguished bore sites (14, 15) is varied as regards their position, this number being at least one, and c) each distinguished bore site (14, 15) is further varied as regards a given number of bore forms (a-k) which differ from each other.
