Clothing for paper-making machines which consists of a woven fabric comprising two or more fabric layers (3, 4) of interwoven longitudinal and transverse threads (2, 1; 5, 6), the fabric layers (3, 4) being connected together as a result of the fact that the transverse threads (1) of one fabric layer (3) are at intervals also interwoven with another fabric layer (4), characterised in that at least those transverse threads (1) of a fabric layer (3) which are also interwoven with the longitudinal threads (5) of another fabric layer (4) are twin threads, only one of the twin transverse threads (1) being interwoven at a particular interweaving point (7) with the longitudinal threads (5) of the other fabric layer (4).
