1. Launching apparatus for free falling life-saving boats, comprising a launching path inclined to the horizontal line at the stern of a ship, two parallel rows of carrying rollers having axes of rotation lying in the launching plane and cooperating with downwardly facing support surfaces at the lifeboat, and two parallel rows of guide rollers cooperating with guide surfaces at the lifeboat and counteracting lateral forces acting on the lifeboat, characterized in that the axes of rotation of the guide rollers (19) extend perpendicularly to the launching plane, that carrying and guide rollers (18, 19) are arranged in alternating sequence, and that a support surface (22) and a guide surface (23) are formed below a shoulder (20) of both sides of the boat's body (12) above its center of gravity.

Ablaufvorrichtung für Frei-Fall-Retungsboote mit einer zur Horizontalen geneigten Ablaufbahn am Heck eines Schiffes, wobei die Ablaufbahn zwei parallele Reihen von Trag- und Führungsrollen aufweist mit in der Ablaufebene liegenden bzw. senkrecht zu dieser angeordneten Drehachsen zwecks Zusammenwirkens mit nach unten weisenden Stützflächen bzw. seitlichen Führungsflächen am Rettungsboot.
