Die Erfindung betrifft eine Koksofentür mit einem Dichtungselement, das aus einer metallischen Dichtleiste und einer topfdeckelförmigen metallischen Membran besteht. Beim Anpressen der Dichtleiste an den Türrahmen entsteht zwischen der Dichtleiste und dem Türrahmen ein keilförmiger Spalt, in den aufgrund der Bewegung der Dichtleiste teerige Kondensations-Rückstände gelangen, die eine gute Dichtung gewährleisten.
