A lock-key system, particularly for hierarchy lock systems, wherein the keys are provided with an invariable basic profile (7) in the region of the key facing and with at least two profile formations which cross the centerline (9) of the key and a variation profile being positioned in a section adjacent to the key spine characterized in that said variation profile (8) includes at least one safety rib profile projecting beyond a lateral face of the key and that the profile incisions of said invariable basic profile (7) and said variation profile (8) have a rectangular cross section with a width of 0,6 mm and said incisions being manufactured by use of milling disks.
