Automatic cut-out having an electromagnetic breaker (43) with a magnetic armature (44), a thermal breaker (41), a fixed and a movable contact piece (64, 28), a switch latch which can be released by the thermal and magnetic breaker (41, 43) and which has a latching point formed by a release lever (38) and a pawl lever (35) rotatably mounted fixed in place and having a slot (34) for guiding a shackle (33), the magnet armature exerting an opening action directly on the movable contact piece and the switch latch opening the movable contact piece permanently, with a switch handle (22) projecting from the front wall of the housing intended for the manual actuation of the switch latch, and with an intermediate lever (31) which is articulated at its one end on the contact lever (16) and at its other end on one leg of the shackle (33) and which engages into the slot (34) with this leg, the other leg of the shackle (33) being articulated on the switch handle (22), characterized in that the intermediate lever (31), the pawl lever (35) and the slot (34) are guided so as to extend approximately parallel to the front wall (10A) and parallel to the side walls of the housing (10), and in that the release lever (38) is mounted, together with the switch handle (22), on an axle (21) fixed in place.

Ein elektrischer Leitungsschutzschalter mit Überstrom- und Kurzschlußstromauslöser besitzt ein Schaltschloß, dessen Einzelteile (Klinkenhebel (35), Zwischenhebel (31) zwischen dem Klinkenhebel (35) und dem bewegbaren Kontakthebel (16) zur Verringerung der Bauhöhe zwischen vorderer Frontwand und dem Kurzschlußauslöser angebracht und im wesentlichen annähernd parallel zur vorderen Frontwand ausgerichtet sind. Der Auslösehebel (38), der die Entklinkung der Verklinkungsstelle bewirkt und von dem Kurzschlußstromauslöser und dem Überstromauslöser mittels eines Übertragungsschiebers (39), der ebenfalls annähernd parallel zur vorderen Frontwand (10A) verläuft, betätigt wird, ist auf der Achse (21) des Schaltknebels (22) gelagert. Hierdurch wird die Bauhöhe ebenfalls mit erniedrigt und darüberhinaus auch die Montage vereinfacht.
