The hollow building block consists of one or more boundary parts (1, 2) which surround an inner supporting structure (5) formed from hooks and/or webs, which structure is provided at at least one point with an opening, via which the insulating material (6) filling the space between the boundary parts (1, 2) and the inner supporting structure (5) can spread evenly during the production process. The inside surface of the hollow building block exhibits a macro- to- microporous surface structure due to granulation additives and/or structuring, so that a non-positive and positive connection between insulating compound (6) and the boundary parts (1, 2) together with the inner supporting structure (5) is produced. The boundary parts (1, 2) and the inner supporting structure consist of normal-weight concrete, lightweight concrete or fired clay, whereas the insulating compound consists predominantly of inorganic material. <IMAGE>

Der Hohlblockstein besteht aus einem oder mehreren Begrenzungsteilen (1, 2), die ein aus Haken und/oder Stegen gebildetes Innengerüst (5) umgeben, welches zumindest an einer Stelle mit einer Ausnehmung versehen ist, über welche sich das den Raum zwischen den Begrenzungsteilen (1, 2) und dem Innengerüst (5) ausfüllende Isoliermaterial (6) beim Herstellungsvorgang gleichmässig verteilen kann. Die innenseitige Oberfläche des Hohlblocksteins weist durch Körnungszusätze und/oder Strukturierung ein makro- bis mikroporöses Oberflächengefüge auf, so dass eine Kraft- und formschlüssige Verbindung zwischen Isoliermasse (6) und den Begrenzungsteilen (1, 2) samt Innengerüst (5) hergestellt wird. Die Begrenzungsteile (1, 2) und das Innengerüst bestehen aus Schwerbeton, Leichtbeton oder gebranntem Ton, während die Isoliermasse vorwiegend aus anorganischem Material besteht.
