Individual apparatus for checking the duration of parking time of a vehicle, including an electronic device (10) to be left within the vehicle to determine and indicate the end of an authorized period of parking in accordance with the beginning of the parking period, the apparatus also includes a warning device (11) which can be taken out of the vehicle to indicate the imminent expiration of the given period of time, the said electronic device (10) is provided with an emitting device (14) for the signal representing the said authorized parking period, this warning device (11) is equipped with a receptor (16) for the signal emitted by the emitting device (14), and an element (18-27, 29-35) for the treatment of the information contained in the signal and an emitting device (28) for a warning signal, controlled by this element and programmed in such a way as to emit the said warning signal before the expiration of the parking period.
