[origin: US4608546A] An arc-quenching automatic switch which includes an impact-armature tripping device, comprised of an armature core and an armature rod, a set of deionization plates, a thermostatic element, and a secondary circuit-breaking device which switches off said automatic switch in response to an external event. This event can be remotely sensed and registered by a current or voltage signal corresponding to said event whereby said event may be pre-arranged to trigger the open-circuit. This additional circuit-breaking device is comprised of a operating device for a coupling rod which projects into the armature core of the impact-armature tripping device.

Es gibt einen Selbstschalter mit einem Schlaganker-Auslöser (10), der einen Ankerkern (24) und einen Stößel (21) aufweist. Dabei ist es erwünscht, wenn der Schalter in konstruktiv einfacher Weise selbsttätig in Abhängigkeit von einem Ereignis abschaltbar ist, das außerhalb des Selbstschalters anhand eines dem Ereignis entsprechenden Stromflusses feststellbar ist. Dies ist erreicht, indem das Äußere eines der Schlaganker-Auslöser (10)-Hinterseite parallelen Seitenwandungs-Bereiches (26) frei von Bauteilen des Selbstschalters ist und mit einer Zusatz-Abschalteinrichtung (27) besetzt ist, wenn die Zusatz-Abschalteinrichtung eine Betätigungseinrichtung (29) für eine Kopplungsstange (30) aufweist, wenn die Kopplungsstange aus der Zusatz-Abschalteinrichtung heraus und durch den erwähnten Seitenwandungs-Bereich zur Hinterseite des Schlaganker-Auslösers ragt und wenn der Ankerkern (24) eine axiale Bohrung aufweist, die das Endstück der Kopplungsstange (30) hin- und herverschiebbar aufnimmt, die auf den Stößel (21) wirkt. Der Ereignis-Strom setzt die Betätigungseinrichtung in Gang, welche die Kopplungsstange verschiebt, die den Schalter ausschaltet.
