Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0147627A2] The invention relates to a heating element for thermal equipment, having a plate-shaped ceramic resistance conductor (3) on whose flat sides there are arranged electrode plates (7), stamped from thin sheet metal, as electrodes. A Kapton film (9) is wound around this plate assembly (3, 7) as a thermally conductive, but electrically insulating sleeve. It is advantageous if, during the stamping process, the electrode plates are at the same time provided with extensions for cable clamping sleeves on one end for the direct attachment of the wires (10) of a connecting cable (22). Furthermore, a heating element of the above type is described onto whose ceramic plate (3) there are applied electrically conductive coatings (15) as electrodes, and in which the wires (10) of the connecting cable (22) are directly hard soldered onto the coating. Furthermore, methods are described for manufacturing both the heating resistors. Finally, the invention describes a hot-adhesive pistol for the liquefaction of a bar-shaped thermoplastic plastic adhesive in which the above-mentioned narrow, plate-shaped heating elements (6, 14) according to the invention are arranged at least partly inserted into the heating channel (17) in the vertical direction. <IMAGE>
